James Mwangi, the owner of the controversial Sunshine Hotel that kicked out Laikipia Women Representative Catherene Waruguru and her husband William Kiget, has finally broken his silence on the drama.
The couple was turned away last Saturday by the management of the Hotel for reportedly failing to produce a marriage certificate.

According to Mr. Mwangi, who confirmed the apparent reasons for kicking them out, says he does not care the repercussions but will always ‘defend family values’ at all times.
“It is against our rules for unmarried couples, a man and woman outside wedlock to sleep in one room,” he said.
“Some managers have threatened to quit over the strict hotel rules but I’d rather lose clients than compromise on family morals inherited from my father,” said the boss.
The hotel boss remained adamant despite intervention by local leaders led by Energy CS Charles Keter and MP Nelson Koech.
Mrs Waruguru, who had booked Room 402 before the incident, has since asked locals to boycott the hotel as she contemplates taking legal steps.
