Embattled Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula has taken a breather from his Senate woes to respond to the standoff witnessed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) where Politician Miguna Miguna has been denied entry into the country.
Wetangula speaking on Tuesday morning, hit out at the government over the attempt to re-deport Miguna.

In an exclusive interview with Kenyans.co.ke, Wetangula stated that the move by the state is an illegality that should not be condoned.
“It’s unfortunate, its unconstitutional. Its an illegality. It should never be allowed to happening any modern state.
It’s an injustice. Miguna is a Kenyan citizen and he should be treated as such,” Wetang’ula stated.
The Bungoma senator further dismmised comments by a section of Opposition supporters that he had failed to show solidarity with Miguna after NASA leader Raila Odinga visited the airport.

The former Premier was in company of Siaya Senator James Orengo and businessman Jimi Wanjigi when they stormed JKIA demanding for the immediate release of the self-proclaimed NRM general.
There was an attempt to re-deport Miguna to Dubai on Monday night through an emirates flight, however, he caused a scene by refusing to board the flight.
Miguna is still at JKIA (as at this writing) where he has adamantly refused to re-apply for his Kenyan citizenship.
