President Uhuru Kenyatta on Sunday sent a heartfelt letter to Tanzania Head of State John Pombe Magufuli following the heinous killing of 15 UN peacekeepers from Tanzania in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In the letter ,President Kenyatta said the attack on the soldiers, who were serving the good cause of establishing sustainable peace in the DRC, was vile.

He further condoled with the families who lost relatives in the attack and wished a quick recovery to those who were injured.
He further assured that the Kenyan Government and people of Kenya will stand with their Tanzanian neighbors in seeking a peaceful and prosperous future for the region.

President Kenyatta noted that Kenya appreciates the crucial role played by peacekeepers since it has participated in many peacekeeping missions.
