President Uhuru Kenyatta has for the first time revealed what how administration intends to help families of Kenyans who lost their lives or property during the 2017-2018 electioneering period from both sides of the political divide.
Speaking at CNN interview in London during the tour to celebrate the 7th year of the commonwealth,President Uhuru Kenyatta said that the unfortunate lose of lives and property were instigated by divisive politics.

Although he remained coy to issue an apology, President Kenyatta said he sympathized with the parents who lost their children during the disputed elections and promised to prevent future occurrences of such unlikely events.
He also added that his plan will be to avail all channels for the victims to get justice.
“To all those who were hurts on both sides of the political divide, as far as I am concerned, we have no responsibility for those given the actions that were taken,” said the head of state.
“But as a parent myself, I feel for them, I sympathize with them and I give them my assurance that I will do everything that is in my power to ensure that this kind of thing never happens again and make available all channels to ensure that anybody who lost life or property is availed a channel to get justice.”He added.
