Two injured at Bishop Korir’s burial, rushed to hospital

Two people were seriously injured on Saturday ,11 November, during the burial of the late Bishop Cornelius Korir.

This was after they were injured during the mass of the late Catholic Bishop Cornelius Korir at Eldoret Sports Club after an LCD screen erected for the public to follow proceedings fell on them.

The Star reports the large screen crushed on a section of the crowd a few meters from where Deputy President William Ruto and some bishops were waiting for the arrival of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to The Standard Digital the screen was pushed by strong winds that were hoisted on huge metals. The injured people were rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.

There was some commission as the Catholic officials and Red Cross workers came to the rescue of the injured who were trapped under the heavy metals.
