The Orange Democratic Party (ODM) fraternity is mourning the untimely demise of the party’s branch chairman from Kipkelion East, Kericho County.
William Koech, popularly known as ‘Bwana Chungwa’ in Kericho region ,died in a horrific road accident on Tuesday,16th January.

In a statement to the newsrooms, party’s Executive Director, Oduor Ong’wen, ODM mourned Mr. Koeach as a dedicated member of the ODM party who worked zealously to strengthen, sell the policies and agenda of the party in his hometown of Kipkelion East and the larger Kericho County.
The party also applauded his loyalty as he stuck with the party during the mass exodus that saw many ODM members defect to other political parties.
“On behalf of the party Leader the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, the National Executive Council, the National Secretariat and the entire ODM family, I wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and relatives of the late Koech and pray to God to give them strength during this trying moment. May his Soul RIP,” further added the statement.
