Salim Lone claims Server Logs Show Raila Won

NASA leader Raila Odinga’s adviser ,Salim Lone (pictured above),has claimed that his boss comfortably won the August 8th presidential elections going by findings on Server’s logs of the Independent Electoral & Boundaries Commission.

In his statement, circulated to Netizens and newsrooms following the postponement of Raila’s swearing-in, Mr Lone says the Supreme court of Kenya only needed to be given access to IEBC servers to prove the actual victor of August 8th poll.

“If the Court had had access to the server, Mr Odinga would have been sworn in as the President a long time ago.” Read Salim Lone’s statement in part.

“NASA has now obtained the logs from the server, which recorded the voting results from each county and from each polling station in the country. The figures show that Mr Odinga comfortably won the election by over a million votes. So it was the loser, Uhuru Kenyatta, who was fraudulently declared the winner by the Electoral Commission.”

During the hearing of Odinga’s petition, the Supreme Court ordered the IEBC provide access to their servers but it took nearly two days for the electoral agency to provide read-only live access.

According to a subsequent report (which was written and signed by ICT experts Prof Elijah Omwenga, Prof Joseph Sevilla who were appointed by the Apex court to audit the servers) ,the IEBC did not comply with a number of the orders including order on the login trail of and equipment into the IEBC servers.

It said IEBC only provided pre-downloaded soft copies of the logs in a hard disk which was not sufficient.

In its conclusion, the report said IEBC did not grant this order.

This was one of the reasons the Maraga-led court voided President Kenyatta’s win of August 8th,with questions raised on why the electoral body did not comply with all court orders on server access.
Salim Lone’s statement on the postponement of Raila Odinga’s swearing-in and claims of Raila having won the August 8 elections comes as the Supreme court is set to deliver its full ruling on yet another controversial elections of October 26th.
