Revealed:The day Uhuru Fired Warning Shots at DP Ruto in State House

Despite being a front-runner, the DP and his allies are lately restless. They have kicked off premature presidential campaigns, clearly in disregard to the Head of State repeated appeal against politicking until 2022.

Details have emerged that President Kenyatta’s calls for his party members to shun politics of his succession plan did not just begin the day of the famous handshake.

The Daily Nation has established that two days before his presidential win of August 8th elections was annulled by the Supreme Court, President Uhuru hosted an impromptu Jubilee Parliamentary Group meeting at State House where he warned his deputy William Ruto against early campaigns in his second term.

Multiple sources at the meeting have reliably confirmed to Daily Nation that the Head of State stated categorically that he “will not allow anything to stand in the way of his legacy agenda”.

The President is said to also have directly instructed all the lawmakers to avoid politicking for the next four years in order for him to have a realistic chance of to securing his legacy agenda.

“He then stated categorically that he will fight back very hard against any such efforts. And he said all these in the presence of the DP,” recalls a Jubilee allied MP from Kakamega County.

Vocal Nyeri Town MP, Mr Ngunjiri Wambugu, who last week caused a stir among netizens with a widely circulated “watajua hawajui (they will discover they are unaware)” tweet warning a section of Jubilee legilators against giving the Mr Kenyatta ultimatums to declare stand on DP Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid, is unguarded about the matter.

Mr Wambugu concurred with the Jubilee MP from Kakamega county that the President indeed asked for “four years of calm and stability”.
