Names of three powerful state operatives who are supposedly sabotaging Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential ambition have been revealed.
Reports by The Star indicate that Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua, Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho and former Nakuru Governor/State House Controller Kinuthia Mbugua are the ones accused of masterminding the scheme.

The three were allegedly named in the impromptu closed-door meeting held by members of parliament from the Rift Valley region, among them Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny.
The rift valley caucus apparently agreed to resolve the mistrust that was beginning to boil within Jubilee and reach out to the Mount Kenya politicians to cement their once good relationship.
Majority Senate leader Murkomen further defended himself against reports that had allegedly misquoted him saying that there were simmering cracks within the governing party.

“At no point did I say that there are cracks in Jubilee. If you go and listen to the interview that we all listened to then you will hear that I said there are a few elements who wanted to put problems in Jubilee and not even people who are within Jubilee and neither did I say MPs,” Murkomen defended himself.
Differences between Murkomen and rift valley MPs had threatened to boil over, with the latter laying grounds before meeting for removal of the Elgeyo Marakwet senator as the leader of the regional caucus.
