President Uhuru Kenyatta has a new Aide-de-Camp (ADC).
According to a military source privy to the matter,the deployment of Lt. Col Timothy Stelu Lekolool (pictured above) as the new Aide-de-Camp ,was precipitated due to the recent drastic promotions that has been ongoing at the military in the recent few days.

Col Timothy Stelu takes over from Col Victor Mburu ,who has been in charge since August 2017.
Acting State House spokesperson Kanze Dena told Citizen Digital that Lt-Col Mburu has gone for further military studies.
A tweet by Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) further reveal that the latest changes was effected by Kenya Defence Forces(KDF) in consultation with National Security Council.
Change of Aide-de-Camp is normally effected after a span of 3 years but can sometimes come early due to age or military promotions.
Notably, Mburu, who was picked from Kenya Army, only served for only 11 months, the shortest ever since independence.

The succession of Kenyan leadership in 2013 saw Col Peter Njiru overstay in the duty having partly guarder President Mwai Kibaki before being replaced in 2017 by Mburu.
The delay in military promotions also informed KDF’s decision to allow him serve President Kenyatta for four years.
