Reports of the last minute happenings before the Cessna Caravan FlySax aircraft began its ill-fated journey to Nairobi have emerged.
Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa was apparently among passengers who were looking forward to fly with the plane but his last minute decision to cancel the trip ,due to delayed landing, saved him from the likelihood of losing his life.

According to a source within parliament who confided to Standard, Mr. Wamalwa, who also doubles as National Assembly Minority Whip, was scheduled to fly on the jinxed plane.
“He had paid to the ticket to Nairobi and that was not the first time the MP has used the plane,” said the source.
“He cancelled the trip to Nairobi after the plane delayed from Homa Bay by around 20 minutes and he was impatient thus left.”The source further said.

The vocal MP has not spoken about the speculations but one of his Ford Kenya colleague, who spoke in confidence, confirmed that he has been using the plane.
