After weeks of anticipation and a postponement in December 12, 2017, National Super Alliance(NASA) leader Raila Odinga finally took ‘oath’ as the President of the Republic of Kenya.
Holding a Bible to his right arm and sandwiched by former Gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna and Siaya Senator James Orengo, Mr Odinga took his ‘oath of office’ as the People’s President before thousands of his supporters at Uhuru Park, Nairobi.

Kenyans were ,however, left puzzled after the other three co-principals failed to grace the ‘swearing in’ ceremony.
Raila then gave a short address that sought to clarify the whereabouts of his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka and other co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.
Mr Odinga explained that although the three were not in attendance they were “together with us”.
He told his supporters that they would disclose the reasons why the three kept off at a later date.
He then assured his followers that Kalonzo will take the oath also at a later date.
