Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Thursday last week revealed to mourners little known details about his late son Fidel Odinga and John Macharia,the deceased son of Royal Media proprietor SK Macharia.
While speaking during the funeral service of John Macharia at his father’s rural home in Ndakaini village, Murang’a County,the former prime minister disclosed that he personally new John as he was a close friend to his late son Fidel Odinga who died in 2014.

The late Fidel and John got close courtesy of the friendship their fathers-Raila Odinga and SK Macharia- had over the years.
Mr Odinga also added that the young Macharia,just like his father, was an astute businessman who had a keen eye on success.
“My son(Fideo) died at 42 but Macharia(John) has left us at 49, he had thrived in business and was doing good, his death is a big blow to the country and the family,” Mr Odinga said as quoted by The Daily Nation.
Fidel, who was born in 1973, was found dead in his house in Karen on January 4, 2015 after a night out in Naivasha with friends.

Fidel died in 2015 in his Karen home, on food poisoning after an outing in Naivasha the previous weekend.
He had one child with his Eritrean wife Bekele and three siblings – Rosemary, Raila Junior and Winnie.
On the other hand,John Macharia dies after being self-involved in a fatal accident along Southern Bypass,Nairobi.
He has left behind a son, Adam Kamau, 18.
