Opposition Chief Raila Odinga says supporters of the National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition announced his intention to scale up the economic boycott of selected goods and services to more firms to bring down the Jubilee administration.
Speaking on Saturday ,2nd December,at the burial ceremony of one of his supporters killed during the violence that erupted during his homecoming from the United States, the NASA leader compared President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime to a State at war with its own citizens.
Mr Odinga maintained that opposition’s next move would heighten economic boycott to cripple Uhuru’s administration.
“We will escalate economic boycott until this regime goes down,” said Odinga without giving names of the firms NASA would be targeting.
“We live now in a rogue state, a State that has gone rogue, a State that is now killing its own innocent people,” said Odinga as quoted by Citizen Digital.
At least 5 people lost their lives when police clashed with NASA supporters who had turned up to welcome Odinga from the United States.
