About 18 National Super Alliance (NASA) Member of County Assembly candidates who lost in the August 8th polls have resolved to defect from NASA and campaign for the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The MCAs were led by former Kitui Senator David Musila who unsuccessfully ran for Kitui Governorship as an independent candidate.

Mr Musila, a long-serving Mwingi South MP and former close confidante of Nasa presidential running-mate and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka,said the Kamba community is done with playing second fiddle to the National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal Raila Odinga.
According to Musila,the Kamba nation should desire to join the government.
This comes barely days after a delegation of western leaders,led by former Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba, also ditched the opposition coalition for the ruling party.
Among the western leader who joined Jubilee were ODM Bungoma Gubernatorial candidate Alfred Khangati, Vihiga Gubernatorial Candidate Moses Akaranga and Presidential Candidate Cyrus Shakhalaga Khwa Jirongo to support UhuRuto.

Also in attendance were Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka, Former Speaker Kenneth Marende, Ababu Namwamba, Musikari Kombo, Fred Gumo, Mary Emase, Reginalda Wanyonyi, Ben Washiali, Noah Wekesa, Trans Nzoia Women Rep winner Janet Nangabo Wanyama, Trans Nzoia Senatorial winner Michael Maling’a Mbito and Dan Wanyama of Webuye West.
