Police have fired teargas at NASA supporters who tried to create a scene along Kenyatta Avenue in Nairobi.
People going for Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka’s swearing-in had closed part of the road, blocking vehicles heading to Upper Hill.

Those along Uhuru Highway destroyed a Uhuru Kenyatta’s plaque at the roundabout joining Kenyatta Avenue.
The plaque ,which read “Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya” was destroyed and they also uprooted the Coat of Arms which they carried with them to Uhuru Park as they wait for the swearing-in of Mr Odinga.
Excited Opposition supporters started walking to Uhuru Park for the ceremony from about 6am. “Today is the day”, they said, concerning leadership by Raila, who insists the two elections were bungled in president Uhuru Kenyatta’s favour.

Raila is expected to make a grand entry to the park at 12.30pm, take oath of office at 1pm and then give directions on the coalition’s next moves.
