Tension has gripped parts of Western region following wide circulation of hate leaflets as result of the repeat presidential election is set to be announced.
Police have began a man-hunt for people who circulated leaflets in Lugari, demanding that a particular community leave for voting on October 26th.

The leaflets circulated in parts including Mautuma,Mwamba, Lumakanda,Kipkaren and Lugari market centers have sparked tension in the Kakamega constituency.
Kenyans from different communities live in these parts.
Area MP Ayub Savula condemned the leaflets and asked members of the Kikuyu community to stay put as they will be protected.

The MP added that residents who participated in the repeat should not panic since it was their democratic right.
“It appears the leaflets were printed by people with money, with the intention of causing ethnic chaos but I, as MP, will not accept that,” he told The Star by phone on Sunday.
Mr Savula said he asked IG Joseph Boinnet to ensure the perpetrators are arrested and charged.
Senior police officers in the area said they were probing the situation.
The area is a NASA stronghold where many boycotted the vote – less than 3,000 voted on October 26th.
