However, speaking on A.M Live on Monday, Amollo hailed the move noting that it is democratic, but cautioned the two against using it to get back to opposition leader Raila Odinga over their recent fallout propagated by a series of internal wrangles within the National Super Alliance (NASA).
”There is nothing wrong with the merger which is actually a good move. However, it has to be based on benefiting Kenyans and not individual politicians. It should also not be aimed as settling political scores and victimizing others deemed unfriendly,” said the lawyer.
Amollo further cautioned the leaders and their counterparts from the region against over depending on the upcoming formation, claiming that it will be short-lived and might not live to participate in the 2022 general elections.

”Mudavadi and Wetangula are both eyeing the presidency and should therefore be prepared to find themselves taking separate ways again very soon. Their upcoming merger is likely to break before 2022 as they will again differ on who will fly their presidential flag,” he added.
