Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) treasurer Timothy Bosire says the Orange party has no issues with Deputy President William Ruto and will not hesitate to support him if he apologizes to the Gusii community over 2007/08 post election chaos.
Last week, Ruto issued an apology hours after President Uhuru Kenyatta shocked the nation after asking for forgiveness.
In a interview with the writer, Bosire insisted that Ruto should carry responsibility over the displaced families from the Rift Valley region during the month long violence.
“He was adversely mentioned even though he was not convicted at the ICC. People cannot be mad to link him with that.
“As Gusii community and ODM family, we can only listen to him if he comes out openly and apologises to the pain and anguish our people went through. He must take responsibility,” he said.
Even though Jubilee administration compensated several families last year who were displaced, a number of them claim that only undeserving people benefited.
Over the weekend, ODM leader Raila Odinga dismissed claims that he will be on ballot in 2022, thus leaving the party at cross roads before the polls.
