Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Thursday met with retired president Daniel Moi at his Kabarak home, Nakuru.
The meeting was part of the many dialogues Mr Odinga has been holding with various leaders in the past few weeks.
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) broke the news on social media, sharing photos of the meeting.
According to ODM,Mr Odinga paid the former Head of State a courtesy call to consult him on the current state of political affairs in the Nation.
@RailaOdinga today led a team of leaders from various parts of the country to pay a courtesy call to the former President H.E. Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi at his Kabarak home. The two leaders consulted on the current state of political affairs in the Nation.
In a statement to the press,Raila Odinga’s aide,Dennis Onyango, further disclosed that Mr Odinga visited to wish the former president well,following his recent hospitalization in Israel.
“On arrival at the Kabarak airstrip, Mr. Odinga and his delegation was received by Tiaty MP William Kamket and Moiben MP Silas Tiren.
At home, he was welcomed by Baringo Senator Gideon Moi and former MP Nick Salaat who ushered him to a meeting with the former President.
The visit followed recent hospitalisation of the former President in Israel.Mr Odinga was visiting to wish the former president well.”Onyango’s statement read in part.
The visit lasted for more than an hour.
This comes a month after the Opposition leader made truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta ,a move that ended the prolonged political impasse that had engulfed the nation.
