ODM Governor Attends Uhuru’s inauguration

President Uhuru Kenyatta took his oath to office on Tuesday,28th November, at the Kasarani Complex to officially begin his second and last term in office.
Several heads of state, delegates and thousands of Kenyans attended the ceremony.

What caught the eye of many Kenyans,however,was the presence of one National Super Alliance (NASA) governor who skipped a planned memorial service called on by his coalition leaders.
Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok decided to join other leaders who witness President Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto swearing-in.
Explaining his decision,Nanok said:

“Whether we accept or deny it, this country is divided down middle even if the elections are held today. It’s only when as leaders we put our pride aside and come to the table that this conflict will be solved this,” he said as quoted by Standard Digital.

In August, Mr Nanok pledged to work closely with Uhuru’s government to implement projects in his county.
