NRM Kenya Responds to Uhuru’s Decision to Finally Dialogue With Raila

Kenyans have expressed mixed reactions to the unexpected meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga on Friday morning in Nairobi.

The two leaders met for the first time in a closed-door meeting at Harambee House since the hotly contested August 8, 2017 General Election and October 26, 2017 repeat presidential poll that Mr Odinga boycotted.

Both leaders, in their speeches, said that their talks revolved around working together in uniting the people of Kenya and ending the nation’s political impasse.

Among those who reacted to the unexpected news was National Resistance Movement Kenya,a revolution wing of the National Super Allaince (NASA),which is led by the outspoken Lawyer Miguna Miguna.

According to NRM,the dialogue was initially alluded by its General Miguna that it was only going to take place after leader Raila Odinga was sworn-in as People’s President.

With the conspicuous absence of Deputy President William Ruto and NASA deputy leader Kalonzo Musyoka,NRM expressed contentment that the talks had taken place only between ‘two President’.
