Details have emerged that case against Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has been thrown out days after he pleaded with President Uhuru Kenyatta to come to his rescue.
A case filed against the Embakasi East MP for assaulting a parking attendant in Nairobi has been withdrawn by the applicant Mr. David Gichagu who has refuted claims that he was coerced to drop it.

“As a Christian, I felt in my heart that I should forgive them. I can assure you that I will not be bringing the matter back to court in future,” he told the court on Thursday as quoted by Citizen TV.
The incident that occurred at Fortis Towers in Westlands on January 11, 2018, saw the two accused assault Mr. Gichagu and cause him “actual bodily harm”.
They however pleaded not guilty before chief magistrate Francis Andayi and were released on a Ksh. 20,000 cash bail.
Separately, the Embakasi MP had also been charged with two counts of using insulting language “in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace”.

Although it is not yet clear why the accuser decided to withdraw the case,Babu had recently pleaded with President Uhuru Kenyatta to save him from his current predicament where he stares an uncertain political future.
