It’s been confirmed that NASA leader Raila Odinga left the country for Zanzibar on Sunday evening by a local newspaper that gave details.
According to sources privy to one of the leading newspapers in Tanzania, Mtanzania,Mr Odinga was spotted at a small restaurant in Old Town Zanzibar Island.

Mtanzania further reveal Odinga appeared to be in company of his Personal Assistant and one bodyguard.
“Raila alionekana jana kwenye mgahawa wa Lukman, uliopo Mji Mkongwe, akiwa na msaidizi wake mmoja na mlinzi mmoja.
Mmoja wa wananchi walioshuhudia Raila akiwa eneo hilo, alisema: “Sijajua kama amekuja kwenye mapumziko ama ziara ya kikazi, lakini nilichoona tu ni kuwa alikuwa yeye na msaidizi wake na mlinzi wakaingia kwenye mgahawa huo kwa ajili ya chakula cha mchana.”
Mtanzania’s report corroborate with that of Odinga’s long term-advisor, Salim Lone, who revealed to the New York Times that Mr Odinga left the country for Zanzibar due to continued unrest.
“The unrest pushed Mr Odinga out of the country. He left Kenya on Sunday night, according to Salim Lone, a longtime adviser to Mr Odinga and his political party. He is now in Zanzibar, off the coast of mainland Tanzania, Mr. Lone said as reported by NYT.
