New Details On Mzee Moi’s State of Health

Former President Daniel arap Moi is still in Israel at Tel Aviv hospital where he arrived on Sunday for a knee surgery.

Sources close to The Standard  indicate the former Head Of State is responding positively to treatment in Tel Aviv where he was flown for urgent check up.

It is said Mzee Nyayo is in high spirits and expected to return home soon.
The retired president was accompanied by his son Gideon Moi and personal doctor Dr David Silverstein.

Trouble with his knee began in January 27, 2017 when he underwent a minor surgery on his knee at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi.

This was after he was involved in a minor accident in July 30, 2006 where his Range Rover and Nissan Pick-up collided in Limuru.

Mzee,in the company of his convoy,was travelling to Kabarak from Machakos, where he had presided over a graduation ceremony at Scotts Theological College.
Moi, who will turn 94 on September 2, ruled Kenya for 24 years between 1978 and 2002 and has enjoyed good health since leaving office.
