He was stripped of police powers and ordered to surrender his guns and bullets, something he never did.
At the time of his dismissal from the police service, Wanjigi held the rank of inspector.
Reports also indicate that the businessman later convinced senior police officers to return his weapons.
Six years after he got his weapons back, he was again allegedly involved in a dispute with unnamed people, who accused him of threatening to shoot them.
According to the Police, his guns were confiscated once again and his certificate of civilian firearm cancelled, but he got them back.

According to Wanjigi ,who is set to appear in court on Monday, he has licences for the guns police officers took from his Muthaiga home during a raid in October 2017.
The prosecution will be aiming to prove to the court that Mr Wanjigi does not fit the risk profile of someone who needs a gun to protect himself “because he lives in one of the safest suburbs in Nairobi County”.
