A National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal has reiterated that the coalition will continue with plans to inaugurate leader Raila Odinga next year. NASA leader and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula said the coalition only rescheduled the ceremony to swear-in Raila as the ‘People’s President’.

The Ford-Kenya leader called on NASA diehards to remain loyal and focused ahead of the event.
“We only postponed the swearing-in of Raila as the People’s President. That does not mean that we have cancelled the ceremony; NASA supporters should not lose hope. They should remain loyal because the journey to Canaan is still on course,’’ said Wetang’ula as quoted by The Standard Digital.
NASA announced it would resume plans to inaugurate the former premier and the People’s Assembly.
The opposition said on Thursday ,December 14, 2017, the inaugural event of the National People’s Assembly would take place early next year.
“Following the postponement of the launch of the People’s Assembly that was to take place on Jamhuri Day, Tuesday December 12, the Organizing Committee wishes to announce the resumption of the People’s Assembly process,” the committee said in a statement on the NASA official website.
