NASA Official Explains Why Swearing-in Was Postnoned To a Later Date

The National Super Alliance (NASA) has postponed the much anticipated controversial swearing-in of its leader Raila Odinga as the ‘people’s president’ and launch of the People’s Assembly. In a statement to the press,NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi said the decision was taken following internal and international consultations.

Mudavadi however said the resolve to swear-in Odinga has not changed urging supporters to remain vigilant.

According to Mr Etale,the highly anticipated event has been postponed so as to allow ample time for further preparations of the same.

“The EVENT is postponed to pave the way for proper preparations of the same. The struggle is on. Don’t despair. Don’t lose hope. We shall get there. Soon.”Read Etale’s tweet.

The opposition coalition promised to announce new dates of both the swearing in ceremony and the launch of the People’s Assembly as well as a more vigorous and prolonged resistance in the coming days.
