An Opposition Member of Parliament (MP) from Western Kenya has poured cold water on National Super Alliance (NASA) leader’s planned swearing-in.
Lurambi MP Titus Khamala from the Amani National Congress (ANC) party distanced himself from the plans ,terming it as as a political sideshow.

Speaking at Shikoti grounds in Lurambi sub-county, Khamala said the Opposition should instead focus on strengthening the coalition ahead of the 2022 elections.
“We must focus on strengthening NASA ahead of 2022 elections, parties including Jubilee have challenges but we must overcome that and aim at clinching power,” the MP said as quoted by The Standard.
He accused Raila’s ODM party of sidelining its other coalition partners in sharing key positions in Parliamentary House committees.

The recent discontent in NASA has come up after House Leadership slots were largely taken by ODM members, infuriating other coalition partners, including Wiper and ANC.
