Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo on Tuesday disclosed that he had lost his sister-in-law Catherine Amollo Anyango to cancer.
Through his social media handle, the NASA legal counsel announced;
” It is another sad day when cancer has claimed my Sister-in-Law! You have fought bravely, like the Heroines of Yore! You have gone in Faith with The Lord! Ywe Mayom Catherine Anyango Amollo.”

Kenyans online sent their condolences to the legislator and his family.
Prominent Kenyans succumbed to the Cancer scourge with the latest being the deceased Migori Senator Ben Oluoch Okello,who died in Nairobi where he had been receiving treatment for throat cancer.

During Senator Okello’s funeral service held on yesterday,Opposition leader Raila Odinga assured that during his trip to India ,the PM Narendra Modi had promised to partner with Kenya to build the country’s capacity to handle cancer cases.
The former Premier also stated that the government ought to ensure better cancer treatment facilities are developed in the country as the disease has led to the loss of many lives including those of young people.
“It’s unfortunate that he lost his life through this scourge. It has become the biggest killer in our country,” Raila lamented.
The ODM leader also called on the state to find ways to manage cancer in the nation.
