Miguna alive, charged in Kajiado Law Court

Self-proclaimed National Super Alliance (NASA) general Miguna Miguna is alive and was on Tuesday morning charged before Kajiado Court,Lawyer Nicholas Mutuku representing The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has just told Milimani High Court.

Mr Miguna was charged at the Kajiado Law Court criminal Case no 174 of 2018 was charged with being present and consenting to the administration of an oath to commit a capital offense namely treason contrary to Section 59 (a) of the penal code, and also for confessing being a member of the outlawed ‘criminal’ group National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Lawyers representing Miguna had asked court to detain the two officers sent on behalf of IG and DCI until Joseph Boinnet and George Kinoti appeared before the court to personally explain his whereabouts.

Justice Luka Kimaru had on Monday directed that both Boinnet and Kinoti appear before him in person or alternatively have Miguna presented before the court today.

This was not the case.

Miguna’s lawyer John Khaminwa expressed fears or whether Miguna was alive or dead, citing the mysterious death of lawyer Willie Kimani last year.
