Wazir Benson Masubo Chacha accused of impersonating Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege and extorting money from legislators was on Monday charged with six counts including conspiracy to defraud.
This is after mental assessment at Mathare hospital ,ordered by the a Nairobi court,found out that Mr Chacha was fit to stand for trial.

Milimani Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi further ordered that he remains in custody until when his bond application will be mentioned.
The prosecution,however,urged the court to deny Chacha any form of bail,arguing that he is a flight risk.
After four days of detention at Muthaiga Police Station Wazir was arraigned in court to answer to six counts including conspiracy to defraud, impersonation and obtaining money by false pretence.
Chacha was charged with procuring registration of Safaricom mobile number in the name of Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege and using the fake M-pesa account to solicit money from high ranking government officials.

According to one of the particulars of the charges, on the 3rd of March this year within Nairobi County, Waziri attempted to obtain 120,000 shillings from Jakoyo Midiwo purporting to be Sabina Chege a fact he knew was false.
Wazir ,however,denied all the six counts,awaiting further mention of the case.
