Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, during a live TV interview on Wednesday,15 November, publicly vowed not to vote for Deputy President William Ruto come 2022.
During an interview with Larry Madowo on NTV,the former Kirinyaga Gubernatorial aspirant made it clear that though she threw her weight behind President Uhuru Kenyatta, she would never do so when the DP Ruto vies for the top seat.

“I am being very upfront, I will not support him.My support was basically for President Uhuru and yes, I knew his deputy was William Ruto…” said Martha Karua,citing it is a choice and that it is in democracy.
She highlighted that her support for Mr. Kenyatta does not mean she backs everything about the Jubilee Party or its candidates.
The former Justice Minister also emphasized that electoral fraud must be addressed first.
She alluded that the illegalities witnessed in the August 8 General Election, which saw the presidential results nullified, was meant to prepare a room for certain people to elect themselves in 2022.

“I think part of the fraud in this General Election has been perpetrated as a foundation for use in 2022. So in Kenya, if we do not address the issue of election fraud on August 8, 2017, General Election we have laid a basis for people to be able to elect themselves through computer in 2022,” she said.
Martha Karua, through lawyer Gitobu Imanyara filed a petition on 5 November at the Kerugoya High Court arguing Governor Waiguru’s win was not free and fair.

The petition was dismissed by Judge Lucy Gitari who termed the case as hopeless, defective and incurable.
Karua,however,maintained that she was rigged out and would be appealing the High Court’s decision.
