Details have emerged that NASA leader Raila Odinga, the once future President, found himself alone.
NASA has on Sunday announced that it had postponed the swearing-in to a later date.
According to the Star Newspaper,Mama Ida and the other 3 NASA principals did not support the highly anticipated swearing-in of Raila Odinga as the People’s President, leading to collapse of the plan.

Raila Odinga had no option but to bow to pressure ,which was exceedingly enormous.
MAMA IDA’S OPINION
The Star newspaper has learnt the decision to call off the ceremony at the last minute was reached on Sunday after intense deliberations among Raila, his family, NASA leaders and foreign envoy led by US Diplomat Robert Godec.
It is understood Raila’s wife, Ida Odinga, extremely objected the idea that she told those pushing for her husband’s swearing-in to swear in someone else — but not her husband.
Mama Ida has avoided active politics since she lost her son Fidel in January 2015 and more when her daughter Rosemary fell sick this year.
Mama Ida and other family members were worried Raila could have been jailed for life if he had been sworn-in.
“She was very clear the swearing-in was crazy and wondered where it came from,” a family member told the Star.
THE THREE PRINCIPALS
From the onset, other NASA principals were opposed to the idea.

Kalonzo Musyoka(Wiper),Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Senator Moses Wetangula of FORD Kenya believed the coronation would hurt their cause.
Separately and through proxies, they urged Mr Odinga to drop the idea.
Kalonzo raised the objection through Governor Kivutha Kibwana and Wiper deputy leader Farah Maalim.
Mudavadi and Wetang’ula reportedly spoke directly to Raila several times, pushing for scrapping-off of the idea.
Their greatest worry was lack of a plan for what the opposition coalition would do after the swearing-in.
They also feared a confrontation with state agents (who said they would not hesitate to arrest Raila) that could have caused the deaths of many Kenyans.

Even Senior counsel James Orengo, who was once vociferously in favour of the idea, went quiet.
NASA supporters was extremely disappointed by the postponement, some labeling it an act of cowardice. Most felt let down by its leadership.
It is yet to be established what direction NASA intends to take from here.
