Tharaka-Nithi Senator Prof Kithure Kindiki has revealed shall be the running mate of Deputy President William Ruto running mate in the 2022 presidential polls.
According to the professor of Law, the DP will endorse nobody else other than him to be his running-mate by the end of this year.
Revealing during the swearing in ceremony of Tharaka-Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki, Kindiki claimed DP Ruto will appoint him at a ceremony to be held in his home village of Mukothima.

The former majority speaker in the senate stated that the event would be attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Jubilee governors,senators MPs and several MCAs from across the nation.
“On December 9, 2017, Kenya will be addressed from Mukothima village and this is when we will officially start the journey to State House with Mr Ruto,” said the Senator as quoted by Daily Nation.
Prof Kindiki said President Kenyatta had already agreed to his endorsement adding that for the first time, the Meru community will hold the second most powerful seat in Kenya.

The Senator noted that he would never again seek the county’s leadership but will battle it out with other politicians for the country’s top leadership.
Kindiki stated categorically that he had no intentions to give up on his ambition and that he would be going for the country’s top leadership rather than the county leadership.
