Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua on Sunday weighed-in on the 2022 presidential race that is already shaping up in the wake of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s unity deal with Opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with KTN News, the former Kirinyaga County Gubernatorial aspirant advised Deputy President William Ruto and any other politician harboring the dream of ascending to power in 2022 to start planning as early as possible and more so,should do it wisely.

“It is never too early to start a campaign but those elected and holding office must be able to multi-task by performing the duties we elected them for and also on the side carry on with campaigns,”Karua said.
She referred to her experience of having been a presidential candidate before;
“I was in a presidential race where I campaigned for three years while at the same time I carried out my job as a member of parliament,” she added.

She, however, noted that the problem lay in using the office resources to advance one’s agenda without development for the voters.

Karua’s advise to all 2022 Presidential candidates comes as a surprise considering she sometime last year declared publicly that she won’t vote for Deputy President William Ruto.
