The Jubilee Party has finally stated its position on the proposed amendment to the constitution seeking for the expansion of the executive.
Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju, has said that the ruling party does not support the proposed amendment which recommends the creation of the prime minister position and two Deputies posts.

The bill is being fronted by Tiaty Member of Parliament William Kamket.
The CS without portfolio ruled out any possibility of a referendum to create the positions saying the party will lobby its members in Parliament to reject the bill.
“There are those talking about the possibility of having a different Executive structure. But as far as we are concerned, and at this point in time, our focus is jobs … opportunities for our young people … prosperity for our people”, Tuju said.

Mr Tuju was speaking in Ol Kalou town after meeting with top Nyandarua county officials led by Governor Francis Kimemia, county assembly speaker Ndegwa Wahome and area MCAs where he added it would be wrong to take the Country back into a political atmosphere saying this is time for development.
In the meantime,the Nyandarua leaders called on the resignation of embattled IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati now that he can longer make any decisions going forward because of lack of quorum.
