THEORIES
Speaking exclusively to The Daily Nation,on Thursday,Central Regional Police boss Gideon Amala has advised against conspiracy theories being circulated on social media, claiming that the governor could have been assassinated.
In one of the unsubstantiated theories being shared on social media,Kenyans allege that Dr Gakuru’s car could have been hit by another vehicle on one side (shown above),causing the driver to lose control and veer-off the road, leading to the grisly accident.
Mr Amala however said:“If anybody feels that they have a theory or any information regarding the accident should forward it to the police.”
“It is insensitive to peddle the information on social media, especially since the family is still mourning.”He added
Eye-brows have also been raised about ‘Chief witness’ Dennis Ngengi, who has always been present at scenes of high-profile accidents, with many Kenyans speculating he might have a hand in the intriguing incidences.
Mr Ngengi was, however, arrested on Thursday night in Naivasha by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation and taken to Nairobi for questioning.
