NASA leader Raila Odinga has told religious leaders and foreign diplomats that he is ready to face treason charges if that is what it will take to achieve justice.
He said unless President Uhuru Kenyatta reaches out to him in person, he will go ahead with his swearing-in ceremony slated for Tuesday.

“Let them charge me for treason. I am ready,” he told the diplomats led by US ambassador Robert Godec on Friday.
The NASA leader met with them a day after resisting advances from the US on the matter.
Godec, who attended, insisted Kenya must strive to uphold the rule of law at all times.
“I stress the need to uphold the constitution. We urge the government, Opposition and all Kenyans to engage in open, transparent national conversation,” he said as quoted by The Star.

Raila’s adamant stance come even after Attorney General Githu Muigai warned him of that he could be arrested and charged for treason.
According to AG Githu,Raila’s swearing in ,if proved to be treasonous,would be punishable by death.
