A neighbor to the IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati in Kiminini sub county,Trans Nzoia County was a victim of malice after his saloon car, a tractor ,five lorries and maize store were on Friday night set on fire.
False rumor were circulating on social media alleging it was Chebukati’s home that was set ablaze immediately after he declared Uhuru Kenyatta as the President-elect on Friday night,11th August.
However,credible sources told Nairobi News that Chebukati’s home was not affected during the malicious attack.

The neighbor refused to say a word to the press when he was asked about the incident.
However,according to Trans Nzoia County Commissioner Ann Gakuria,aggravated workers must have been the perpetrators of the incident.
This is one of the many cases reported in the past one week of sporadic protests and damage of property following the announcement of Uhuru Kenyatta as the President-elect.

Chebukati was the one mandated by the constitution to declare the winner of this year’s presidential election.
