Gakuru’s son performs Exceptionally in KCSE despite losing his father

Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru’s son Mugambi Mwenda has scored a mean grade of B+ despite losing his father in a grisly road accident just a day after the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination started on November 6.Mugambi, who sat his exam at Alliance High School student, overcame the trauma to register excellent results.

He young lad lost his father on the second day of his exams. Ordinarily, the school would have waited until he cleared the exams before breaking the sad news to him.

However, the seniority of his father and the attention that followed his demise meant that the news could not be kept from him.

It also happens that one of his last moments with his father was with his classmates from Alliance who Gakuru hosted at his residence in Runda for a pep talk.

He scored an A in Mathematics, which was done on the opening day of the examinations.

At the time of his father’s burial (November 18), he still had a number of papers to seat for.
