EX-IEBC Commissioner Akombe’s first comment after Commissioners resigned

Former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioner Roselyn Akombe took to her Twitter handle to make her first remark following the resignation of three of her former colleagues.

Dr Akombe has been silent on the on goings at the electoral commission since her unprecendented resignation from the agency last year.

But the ex-commissioner seem to be following the recent drama unfolding at the commission after ostensibly joining the debate on Twitter.

Following the exit of IEBC vice chair Consolata Nkatha,Paul Kurgat and Margaret Mwachanya, Kenyans online shared their opinions with some acknowledging Dr Akombe for having resigned at the a time she felt things were not alright.

The former commissioner, now based in the US, could not restrain herself from replying to a tweep that shared a meme about her.

In her reply to the memes Kenyans had created about her,an excited Akombe replied;

“Haha! I love you my people!”Akombe tweeted.

Akombe resigned days to the repeat presidential polls to take up her former job at the United Nations.
