Election Observation Group (Elog) finally released their their own parallel Presidential vote tabulation results yesterday,12th August, evening.
The observers group said they did a survey on 1,692 polling stations from the available 40,000 poling stations the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) gazetted.
Through its chairperson,Regina Opndo, the group said poll results on forms 34A matched with what their agents presented from the sampled polling stations.
According to the observers, President Uhuru Kenyatta won the presidential poll by 54%, while National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga got 44.9% of the votes cast.
The group stated that their tally had a margin error of 1.9%.
Results announced by IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati on Friday shows that President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta got 54.3% while Mr Odinga had 44.7% of the votes.
The organization said the voting process went on smoothly apart from minor isolated hitches of BVR kits failing to function properly.
They however recommended that the hacking claims by NASA should be investigated.
ELOG had deployed 1,700 parallel voter tallying observers at selected polling stations in all 290 constituencies to record the vote counting in real time and transmit the poll results to its own tallying center.
