National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale on Thursday launched a fresh attack on Opposition leaders, led by Raila Odinga, who visited retired President Daniel Moi at his Kabarak home.
The Garissa Township Member of Parliament (MP) told off the leaders whom he deemed to have been “excited” at the opportunity.

“Congratulations but this should not excite you,” Duale noted as he spoke in Parliament.
Duale cautioned the leaders to note that the visit had only been made possible because Opposition chief Raila Odinga struck a deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“Your visit is just an extension of the handshake. Mr Speaker, today the handshake was in Kabarak … it has moved from Harambee House.”He added.
Associating the visit with the upcoming 2022 General Election, the Majority Leader (who is a close ally to Deputy President William Ruto) asked the Opposition leaders not to peg their chances of surviving in politics to the visit.
“Those visiting Mzee Moi are allowed to go and tell him ‘pole (sorry)’ because he served us for 24 years. But those who intend to be in the 2022 race…you don’t need such visits…face we who are on the other side,” he advised.
