Deputy President William Ruto was among the few mourners who paid their last tributes to John Macharia, the late son of Royal Media Services proprietor S.K. Macharia.
Speaking during the low-key memorial service of the late John , the DP eulogized the deceased by rekindling memories of his son’s accident which took place at the same spot where John died after being self-involved in a grisly accident.

His son’s accident happened after John’s death.Fortunately he survived the ordeal.
Ruto said John’s death had taught him a lesson adding that when his own son got an accident at the same spot he “was very mad at him and questioned why he was driving during late hours“.
“He narrowly escaped death but John did not. I urge the youth to drive carefully along that route,” the DP said as quoted at the burial by Daily Nation.
He, however, does not specify which of his son was involved in the accident along Nairobi’s Southern by-pass.
The young Macharia perished in an accident along the Southern by-pass after the Porsche 911 he was driving in collided with a Land Cruiser along the usually busy road.
