Speaking over the weekend at a function on Saturday,DP Ruto exuded confidence that he has all the machinery he needs to defeat National Super Alliance(NASA) leaders Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi in the next Presidential elections.

“And these people, I don’t even need Uhuru so that I can compete with them. I will deal with them without his support,” he said.

Last week, the DP renewed his onslaught on Mr Odinga, asking his he should accept the verdict of last year’s elections and fully join hands to foster development.
An elated but emotional Ruto took a dig at the former prime minister, who he accused of ‘maliciously’ initiating the handshake he had with the Head of State with an ‘aim to push his own agenda’.
ODM Reacts
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Members of Parliament have launched responded to DP RUto’s tirade, terming him as “Kenya’s enemy number one” for allegedly opposing reforms in the country’s governance system.
In a strongly-worded statement issued a day after Ruto hit out their ODM Party leader, the MPs accused the DP of causing hate and division in the country by opposing whatever he deems a threat to his 2022 presidential ambitions.
They also accused him of blackmailing President Kenyatta so as to forcefully gain his support in 2022 elections.
