The whereabouts of NASA strategist David Ndii remained unknown on Monday morning even as police confirmed his arrest.Later,however it emerged that he was held and interrogated at the DCI headquarters, Kiambu Road.
The NASA strategist was arrested by CID officers at a beach resort in Kwale on Sunday,3th December, before being moved to Nairobi overnight.
His wife Mwende Gatabaki (pictured above), has finally come out and given an account of what happened on Sunday evening.
According to Ndii’s wife,who was with Dr Ndii at Leopard Beach Hotel in Diani, Kwale, told The Daily Nation on Monday that officers pounced on her husband outside the hotel.
She said the arrest was carried out by seven officers who said they were from Flying Squad.
Reports indicate detectives from the Special Crime Prevention Unit were also involved in the operation.
Mrs Ndii said the officers said they were taking Dr Ndii to Diani Police Station but she did not find him when she went there to follow up later.
After the arrest, the detectives came back to the hotel room where the couple was staying for a search, she said.

The police were looking for Ndii’s laptop with the aim of extracting information related to Nasa programmes and plans.
