Date and Venue of Kalonzo’s swearing-in all Set

National Super Alliance (NASA) deputy leader Kalonzo Musyoka has bowed to pressure and will be taking the oath as the Deputy People’s President on February 28 in Uhuru Park.

This comes barely a month after NASA leader Raila Odinga took a similar oath at the same venue.

Lieutenants of the former Vice President confirmed that his swearing-in plans were underway and was being organised by the co-principals.

There are a few issues they are sorting out as principals first, but he will be sworn in,” Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior confirmed.

It is understood that the other co-principals, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula have also agreed to attend.

The wiper leader was labelled a coward and watermelon after failing to show up during the oath taking of Raila Odinga on January 30th.

However, last week Kalonzo maintained that he was not a coward and was ready to take the oath anytime.

According to the Star, NASA also intends to use the occasion to launch a new push for a referendum to amend the Constitution and bring back the positions of Prime Minister and two deputies.

Top NASA officials confided to the Star that Kalonzo’s oath would be one of the items of the first People’s Convention’s agenda which will focus on the referendum.
