Clerks, researchers in nullified poll case transferred

Office of the Supreme Court’s President has made a number of changes, a day to the swearing-in of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Two clerks of the Apex court have already been transferred to new courts while four of their colleagues have received letters but are yet to be transferred.

Similarly, Supreme Court Registrar Esther Nyaiyaki, whose report on the audit of results declaration forms caused controversy, seems to have taken a low profile after being attacked by Jubilee hardliners over accusations that she doctored a report that was used in the annulment of the August 8 poll.

The Judiciary has since, however, defended her, stating that she conducted the exercise under the directive of the court.

Chief justice David Maraga, together with the Registrar, will preside over the swearing-in of President Uhuru Kenyatta scheduled for tomorrow,28th November.
