Chebukati responds to resignation of three commissioners

The crisis at the Independent Electoral & Boundaries Commission deepened on Monday when one-half of the commissioners resigned.

The three commissioners,led by Vice Chair Consolata Nkatha,cited bad leadership by Chairman Wafula Chebukati as their main reason that inspired their decision.

In a quick rejoinder,IEBC  boss Wafula Chebukati ,responded to the resignation of three commissioners.

According to Chebukati, he learned about the resignation through the media and he is yet to receive formal communication from the commissioners confirming their stepping down.

He added that upon receipt of resignation letters from them, he would be able to respond with a comprehensive statement.
